Sizing

Each garment has a UK size estimate as shorthand, but is by no means restrictive. Every item fits a range of sizes depending on your desired fit. Size up if you’d like a relaxed fit, and vice versa.

To visualise how a vintage piece will fit, it’s best to compare the given measurements against a well-fitting garment you already own. We highly recommend getting familiar with your measurements — it helps you understand how you like your clothes to fit, which leads to better choices and feeling more confident.

All our clothing is genderless. Please get in touch if you need help finding your size.

Size up by 1–2” if you’d like the trousers to sit lower on the waist (e.g. if you’re going for a low rise baggy 90s look). Size up by 0.5” for a more comfortable fit throughout the day.

High-waisted bottoms have a rise measurement of 11”–14”. Mid rise is 9”–10”. Low rise is 7”–8”. Experiment to find which rise measurement is the most flattering for your torso length and body type.

DUNGAREES & OVERALLS

For a regular fit, we recommend that you go for a pair with up to 2” more than your usual waistband flat lay measurement . For example, if you wear a W28 in jeans (14” waist across), look for dungarees with a 15–16” waistband flat lay measurement. You can of course go higher if you’re after a baggier look.

Add 0” to the PTP measurement if you’d like the garment to be form-fitting. Add 1–2” to the PTP measurement for a slim fit. Add 4” or more to the PTP measurement for a loose fit.

Please bear in mind that if the material is stretchy, the PTP measurement will be slightly smaller. As a rough guide, subtract 3” to find your size. For example, if you usually wear a UK 10, a stretchy, form-fitting top with a PTP measurement of 14.5” will fit you. This will vary depending on the amount of stretch in the fabric, so check individual item descriptions.

For ease of movement and a flattering fit, we recommend that outerwear flat lay garment measurements are at least 2” more than half of your chest measurement. 2” is a conservative amount. This will vary depending on the style of the jacket and personal preference.
